MULTI NODE U-DWDM NETWORK ENGINEERING AND INSTALLATION CONTRACT

Golden Valley, MN. –  Telecom Engineering USA, Inc. would like to announce that they have completed the engineering, installation, and provisioning of a multi node DWDM network for Wisconsin Independent Network (WIN), a Wisconsin based fiber optic carrier.  The MetroVista 2000 with U-DWDM technology by OpVista was obtained by WIN to gain capacity relief through an eight node segment of its northwestern Wisconsin SONET ring, one of seven SONET fiber rings operated by WIN.  The MetroVision 2000 was used to upgrade the existing SONET ring to an 8 channel DWDM network.  Features of this network design include U-DWDM technology, expandability to 32 channels without traffic disruption and 80 channels with minimal traffic disruption, 10 Gig transmission spans of 1000 km without dispersion compensation or regeneration, data rate and protocol transparency, optical and copper client side interfaces with SFPs for SONET, 10GigE and GigE traffic.  The WaveMaster Element Manager provides full network node visibility, real-time monitoring of all wavelengths, chassis view, card level status, alarm summary and history.  The Telecom Engineering team upgraded the existing live 455 km SONET fiber network to this leading edge DWDM technology flawlessly without traffic downtime.  A detailed fiber network “As Built” documentation package and drawings were provided for archive records and technical reference.
